Our church building is right in the very centre of the city and is open every day for worship, prayer or just to have a look around. Before the 18th century, Manchester had only one church, now the Cathedral. As the town grew, a new one was needed. Funds were provided by Lady Ann Bland and the design, in the fashionable classical style, is thought to be the work of John Barker. St Ann's was consecrated in 1712. | After almost 300 years of unbroken activity, St Ann's is still a place of worship and cultural life in the heart of Manchester.
